  i visited my old jw dad in his retirement home yesterday----

  ----and he told me he had a visit from a friend--about my age--an elder in his old congregation.. this elder friend told him another members 16 year old born-in daughter had left the troof-----i tried not to grin--but it made my day !!

  I breed hedgehogs and currently have 12. They make the most wonderful pets.

  Perfume / Cologne

  there are some perfumes that i absolutely just love and a little squirt of it can bring back such good memories, make you feel sexy.

  my favorite is dolce & gabbana (red), followed by d&g "the one", followed by coco chanel .

  on men, i love the smell of the original hugo boss - used to make my tummy clench in a good way .

  The Next perfume (not a copy, just similar) is called Nude and is £10 for 30ml. The other very similar perfume which is even cheaper is Lidl and called Suddenly by Madame Glamour and that is £3.99 for 50ml.

  I don't think either claim to be a cheap version or copy but whatever the "tones" I find so gorgeous and seductive in Mademoiselle are in these 2 as well.

  It was my mother's perfume.

  She never wore anything else.

  If I smell it now the memories of my childhood make me feel physically ill.

  pming other members of this site asking for money is unacceptable and will not be tollerated under any circumstances, especially if it seems like you are targeting someone who seems to be especially kind and maybe a little old.

  that is low.. if you do this, you will be classified as a scammer and your account deleted.

  i don't care what the reasons given are.. if someone offers money then fine although i'd warn anyone against falling for sob-stories they read on the internet.

  I have emails daily that start off "hello my dear" or "can I trust you" or "with Christian kindness".

  I delete them all.

  Recently I have had huge wins on lotteries I have never entered and a barrister wanting me to confirm who I am as there is a huge amount of money left by some relative I have never heard of.

  And accounts from banks I dont even bank with keep getting suspended until I "click on this link" to verify who I am. I am terrified I will one day click without realising and start a huge chain of events that will wreck my life.

  by a split second rescuing our handicapped son from being pushed down the stairs by a flood of sisters rushing out to see as the drama had started.. the main offender being a special pioneer..

  All were awful but Twickenham was the worst.

  Buggies were not allowed in and my youngest had to be restrained most of the time because she had breathing problems and used oxygen for even a mild cold. She was fed through a tube directly into her stomach until she was 2 years old.

  It was very hot and we found a spot on the grass outside the main stadium but could hear the tannoy. We had got nicely settled when a bro came along and said we couldn't sit on the grass we had to sit on the tarmac. By lunchtime the tarmac was melting and was stuck to our lovely brand new clothes bought especially for the assembley.

  Because it was so hot Emma was drinking far more than usual and soaking her nappies right through to the buggy every hour so I quickly ran out. We had been "encouraged" to come by coach so I was only able to bring what I could physically carry. One coach was sufficient for 4 congregations so clearly very few took advantage of that fine direction and took their own cars instead.

  When the tarmac was very obviously getting damaged by not just me but others too the brothers said we had to go into the stadium or out to the field used as car parking where there was grass but we couldn't hear anything. I went out to the field on my own.

  Only a handful from my cong went on the coach and I never saw anyone else there I knew. It was the loneliest I had ever felt in my life with 2 miserable kids and no friends or anyone to help me.

  The next day I arranged to meet another Mum there who also had two kids to see how she managed. After an hour her Mum took one of the kids and her brother and his wife took the other so she could go inside so I get left alone outside again.

  After lunch we were told we could sit on the grass but I felt so ill from too much sun and struggling with a six month old and a 4 year old who then decided to run off as I was trying to move everything. We found her an hour later but it was hell and I felt like I was the worst mother on the planet for not controlling her and disturbing people by asking if they had seen her.

  As I made my way back to the coach at the end of that second day I had already decided I wasn't going on Sunday.

  The next week at a meeting an elder's wife who saw me struggling at the assembley mentioned she was shocked no-one offered to help me. I wish now I had asked her why she hadn't if she had seen me.

  All of them were awful though.

  I like Coco Chanel Mademoiselle and used to wear it every day but I have discovered a high street store called Next has a perfume very smilar for a tenth of the price so I wear that instead for day time and at home and just use the Chanel when I go out.

  what do Jehovah's witness believe in relation to alien races

  i know jehovah created all life through his son jesus, recenttly i have been reading about different races of et beings visiting our planet and claiming to be a form of us from the future, i,m just wondering can anyone tell me if there is any scriptural refrences to these beings..

  The "Goldilocks" theory means life else where is not impossible but sadly we may not get to meet them as they are too far away.

  JWs would have a hard time explaining the ransom if it was discovered humans did exist somewhere far far away, especially if they too got sick and eventually died of old age.

  Who knows which "Gods" they may have invented to explain their existence or maybe if they were considerably older than us they might all be atheists.

  What is your experience when you stop turning in time?

  for the past year or so, i've been turning in just one or two hours of service time.

  it has been mentioned to me from an elder "friend" that i'm never seen at any meetings for field service.

  i get his implication.

  When I was ill and stopped going on field service I was telephoned by an elder and asked for my hours. I said I had done nothing so he put me down for 2 hours. He said he was sure I must have talked to my neighbours and children and that would count until I was better. I never put in another time slip again.
